Campervan

Hello, I am Nicolas and I rent my 3 VW Kombi T2 from 1978 from central Barcelona! This one is Lenny.

It is ideal to discover Catalunya (Costa Brava, Garrotxa, Delta Del Ebro, Ruppit, Monserrat etc.) or further if you have more time (Basque country, Ibiza, etc..). 

It has 1 double bed (110x190cm) bedsheets and pillow included. It is equipped with all the essentials to enjoy the stay : solar panel, lithium battery with 12V 220V and USBC plugs, a fridge, 2 portable gas stoves, cooking utensils (pans, pots, coffee machine etc...), basics (coffee, tea,olive oil , salt, pepper,sugar) dishes (plates, cups), cutlery, sink, one table, 2 foldable seats, an external shower (water is not heated) bluetootsh speakeer, powerbank and a portable light. If you are staying in a campsite, we have the cables to connect to the electrical network.

I advise renting this van if you had a bit of experience with older cars, manual gearboxes or trucks or campervans. It is quite different from a modern car. The whole idea is to have a unique experience in a classic car, at slow pace.

--CHECKIN--

Before you hit the road, we will explain you everything about the vehicle including a quick test ride, we will sign a contract with the accessories inventory. To cover for it, we take 900€ deposit that is given back at checkout.

The location is in Central Barcelona near metro Collblanc. 

We also offer the possibility of home checkins and checkouts , delivering and picking the vehicle to your place or the airport for an extra fee.

Why those hours?

Older vehicles are forbidden to drive in Barcelona from 07AM until 8PM Monday to Friday because it is a low emission zone called ZBE

-- IMPORTANT NOTES --

Quick disclaimer : It is not possible to stay overnight with the van in Barcelona city, although it is possible in the surroundings or nearby campings (25 minutes away).

Here are the requirements to drive the vehicle : Being older than 25 years old, with a driving license granted for more than 2 years, and valid to drive in Spain (check if yours is fine, or if you need an official translation or international permit. If any doubt, please ask us)

Being a 1978 vehicle, It is made for cruising with a top speed of 85km/h. The fuel consumption is around 10L/100kms (unleaded fuel). Top speed is 80km/h so better set your google maps to the shortest distance option rather than the fastest . Itt will take you 50% more time than what google says approx. A few more perks being : no assisted steering system and not suitable for people under 160cms (because you can not adjust the seats that much) but you will be able to travel in time and enjoy the scenery.

On top of the rental, we offer to give you tips and advices on where to stay, camping sites and places to visit so that you can plan your journey ahead. The law about wild camping and overnight stays in Spain depend on every city. The easiest solution is to stay on official sites : special camping-car areas, car parks, etc.  or camping sites. 

There is a lot of marvelous places to discover around Barcelona : beaches, mountains, etc. Most rentals are to go to : Costa Brava, Garrotxa, Ibiza, Pais vasco, Delata del Ebre, Valencia.
