The vehicle, a Ducato Knaus Boxstar 600 Lifetime XL (Van of the Year 2020 with Maxi chassis), is very well maintained (built 5/2020). It features a head-up display for the driver in conjunction with a Pioneer sound system. A radio, navigation system with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and a professional phone holder are also included. It is very suitable for families, as the additional mechanical bunk bed also has a child safety net (1.34 x 1.80 m). The vehicle (3.5-ton panel van, 2.3L 160 hp, 6-speed manual transmission, all-terrain tires) is 6 m long and has separate longitudinal beds in the rear. It has been partially modified. Rear parking sensors . Optionally, the table can be stowed against the bathroom wall while driving. This allows the driver's seat to be moved further back for me (I'm 1.94 m tall), while still providing comfortable seating for two people on the rear bench. The driver and passenger seats are highly adjustable to suit all needs, even for particularly tall or short people. Fuel consumption with a fairly constant, moderate driving style of 90-110 km/h is approximately 9.7-10.7 liters per 100 km. The vehicle has (almost) all the optional packages available from Knaus, including a Maxi chassis with reinforced axles, additional coil springs, larger brakes, and all-terrain tires. It also features extensive electronic driver assistance. The rear bench seat can be extended by 9 cm (for wider seating). The table can be attached in 30 seconds. Installation is presumably done by Knaus. Furthermore, a Nespresso capsule machine (new in 2023) is professionally installed (no defect if it doesn't work). I love a good cappuccino in the morning (works even without external power, not included in the price). An air fryer with a drawer is also on board. A pizza oven is available upon request(for free). Air conditioning is provided in the driver's area while driving, and a large air conditioner is available when external power is available at the campsite. The vehicle is, of course, equipped with all necessary cutlery, plates, cups, glasses, spices, etc., for four people. The vehicle can be equipped—upon request—with a bicycle rack for two non-electric bikes (max. one electric bike) and has a large awning. The rear beds can easily be raised to transport additional bicycles, etc. The vehicle is equipped with 11 kg of gas (two bottles are available for longer trips, e.g., abroad, for a small additional charge) for hot water in the kitchen and bathroom. A 200-watt (max.) solar panel supplies power to the batteries even when no other power sources are available. Two lithium-ion batteries with a total capacity of... The 200 Ah battery can power the refrigerator (70 L compressor) and a mobile phone for approximately 7 days (provided no other high-powered appliances are running). Naturally, all windows and the side door have mosquito nets. The vehicle has an interior height of 2.38 m, which will suit even tall people. So, no need to walk around with your head down! You will need to provide your own bedding/sleeping bags, sheets, towels, etc. We recommend sleeping bags. For an additional €65, complete bedding is also available.
