There are campers that are brand new, shiny, anonymous — could belong to anyone. And then there’s Ruggine (Rust).

Fiat Ducato Arca America New Deal, 1988 — yes, you read that right — and it’s lived more than we could ever fit in this description.
Restored by hand, with care, and you can feel it: inside it’s comfortable, bright and fully equipped so you can just show up and go. Double bed in the overcab, single bed and a double dinette. 200-litre water tank, solar panel, service battery and inverter. The fridge is a brand new compressor model — no more gas on/off nonsense. Comfortable shower and bathroom, cosy living area. Everything’s on board: bed linen, towels, dishes, soaps and a beach kit too — because you’re in Fuerteventura, and it would be a shame to arrive unprepared.
One thing we’ll tell you upfront, though. The cab still has some rust on the outside — it’s on the list, but that’s a job for after the summer. So aesthetically, it’s not a postcard. It’s a camper with a visible past, and that past is part of the journey.
Which is why the price is honest — lower than what you’d find on a slick van or a newer vehicle.

Who is it for? Anyone who comes to Fuerteventura to actually live it, not to photograph the camper. Anyone who drives with patience, respects vintage vehicles and understands that a slower pace is a gift, not a flaw.

Who is it not for? Anyone chasing aesthetic perfection or wanting to put their foot down. This isn’t your vehicle — and that’s completely fine.
