Monty is our Volkswagen T4 Special 888 2.5LTDi. One of the last T4 vans made. Originally a panel van, the camper conversion was professional installed by SouthWest campers to a high standard that seems to be admired by all who use him. There is everything you need for an special adventure whether you seek real remote off grid camping or to set up on a site with some extra comforts.
Some recent upgrades include a night-heater to keep you toasty if the weather turns chilly as well as a newly upgraded leisure battery which will keep your fridge cool and the lights on for a good few days if you want to go remote.
At a camp site with electric hook up there is a cable to you can plug in giving 240v power inside the van (UK 13amp 3pin plugs x2) in case you need to charge up phone / laptop or recharge the leisure battery & fridge. There are also USB sockets to use while driving!
For the sleeping arrangements, the rear seat quickly folds down to a very comfy bed that easily accommodates 2 adults. During the day the passenger seat turns around and the fold out table allows civilised dining.
Included in your hire is all bedding, towels, plates, cooking, cleaning, and eating equipment that you should need to be self-sufficient. All you need bring are your personals. Tip - Rucksack / holdall type bags fit a lot better than suitcases!
Monty is quite easy to drive, being just a little bigger than a large car. He has a powerful engine good for most of Scotlands high roads, modern features include electric windows, Bluetooth radio receiver, Cruise control.

Flexibele annulatie bij Overmacht
Indien je door overmacht niet kan reizen, kan je gebruik maken van onze aangepaste annuleringsvoorwaarden. Deze zorgen ervoor dat je je reis gratis kan uitstellen.
De eigenaarsvergoeding wordt binnen 10 dagen na annulatie teruggestort. Het resterende bedrag kan worden gebruikt voor een volgende reservatie op een voertuig naar keuze.

Super, konkrete, flexible, auf unsere Bedürfnisse eingehende Abstimmung über Übergabe und Rückgabe.
Korrekte und faire Angaben zu (kleineren) Schäden (Macken), die vor unserer Abreise vorhanden waren, zügige Abwicklung der Rückgabe.

Consigliatissimo! Abbiamo fatto un giro della Scozia on the road noleggiando il van di Andy. Lui è stato gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Il van era pulitissimo e nonostante qualche piccolo problemino dovuto all'età ci siamo trovati benissimo!

Amazing experience, Andy was very helful and prompt when dealing us. The campervan came with everything we needed and was an excelent runner and very easy to drive. It was a comfortable sleep and the battery in the campervan lasted all week without us needing to charge it. Only slight problem is that the heating always blew some hot air when driving, which is fine in winter but at night in the summer when trying to stay awake it didn't help. But over all can't give enough credit to Andy and his campervan and would 10/10 recommend it!

Andy is great and provided us with a fantastic rental experience. He was informative and helpful in his communication and kind and welcoming when we arrived.
The van is fantastic. It is warm and cosy and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable trip.
Overall an amazing experience and hope we can rent from Andy again!

We are Andy and Susie. A couple from Edinburgh in Scotland. We discovered campervan life travelling the length of New Zealand a number of years ago in a hire van and since returning it was our dream to have a van of our own. We now delight in having the freedom to camp in remote spots all over the UK and sometimes in Europe.
